About 50/50 Raffle: The Shamrock Foundation launched the 50/50 Raffle program in March 2012 and to date the program has raised over $3M. To help increase our reach and impact in the community with the funds raised through this program, we rely solely on the generosity of our volunteers. It’s a team effort – we can’t do it without you!
Volunteers: This is your chance to be a part of an exciting fundraising program benefiting the Shamrock Foundation and local non-profit organizations. Volunteers will engage with our fans at home games to help sell raffle tickets. 50% of the total jackpot goes to a lucky fan and 50% goes to charity. It is about a 3.5 hour commitment each night. As an added incentive, the Shamrock Foundation will find ways to thank our volunteers with unique Celtics prizes and experiences for those individuals who sell the most raffle tickets and volunteer the most time. The 50/50 Raffle occurs at every home game and we are looking for 50 total volunteers for each home game. Below is an overview of the volunteer responsibilities:
- Prior to arrival, volunteers must complete the following WAIVER/RELEASE FORM in order to volunteer. Please upload completed forms here or bring a printed copy to your scheduled game.
- Volunteers check-in at the Media Security Entrance to receive working passes and will be directed up to Level 4, Section 5 where they receive a full overview of the program and their responsibilities for the game.
- Volunteers will be assigned a location on Level 4, 5, or 7 and will either be at a station or roaming, selling tickets with a handheld device.
- About an hour before tip-off, gates open and sales begin! At the beginning of the 3rd quarter, sales end.
- All volunteers return to Section 5 to turn in their devices.
- Once volunteers turn in their devices, their volunteer duties are over.***
- Attire: Please wear comfortable clothes (show your Celtics Pride!) and shoes – you will be on your feet for a while!
- Food/Beverages: We do not provide food, although there is plenty for purchase on the concourses, so please plan on eating before or bring a snack. There will be water available for all volunteers.
- Personal Items: Storage tables are available. We are not responsible for any lost, stolen, or damaged items.
***Due to overwhelming demand, volunteers will NOT be able to watch the rest of the game after volunteering.
